Online trolls could face up to five years’ jail if the Coalition is re-elected in the May 18 federal election, up from three years.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison says the proposed harsh new laws, set to be unveiled on Sunday, are about keeping pace with technologies to keep children safe. As part of the crackdown, Prime Minister Scott Morrison wants online video gaming apps to default to the most restrictive privacy and safety settings when children sign up.
