PORAC, Pampanga — Mayor Jaime Capil has supported the call for a total ban on Philippine offshore gaming operators now called internet gaming licensees.'Ang pagsuporta sa total ban ng POGOs ay isang hakbang tungo sa mas maayos na pamumuhay para sa lahat ,' the mayor said.'Imbis po tayo ay magturu-turuan, minumungkahi ko po na magkaroon ng isang joint committee ang national government na masusing aaralin ang mga gagawin para hindi na mangyari muli itong sitwasyon dulot ng POGO .
Citing Supreme Court rulings Lim vs CA and Pilapil vs People , Capil said that 'while local government units have the authority to inspect commercial establishments, this authority does not extend to conducting police raids or warrantless searches in partnership with the police under the guise of administrative inspections.'Mayor Capil said the joint inspections conducted by the LGU and the PNP 'are not the only ones conducted by the Municipality of Porac.
