Games Inbox: Should then new Tomb Raider get rid of combat?

What will the new Tomb Raider be like? To join in with the discussions yourself email gamecentral@metro.co.uk No more fightingLike most fans, I’ve been really enjoying the Tomb Raider remaster trilogy but naturally it’s got me wondering what they could be planning for the new game, especially as we know basically nothing about it – except it will somehow blend the new and old styles. Playing the old games in the remasters I’m convinced they’re much better games.

The gist being gamers are buying Helldivers 2 but not Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth used as a microcosm of a larger trend of live service killing single-player. It ignores all the single-player games that sell in huge numbers. Three of the five best-selling games last year were single-player: Hogwarts Legacy, Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, and Spider-Man 2. As well as ignoring the continent-sized wasteland of failed or aborted live service games, especially with Sony recently.
