Avowed – looks like it may be Xbox’s last release of the year As with any modern games event the PlayStation State of Play, Summer Game Fest, and Xbox Games Showcase were subject to numerous rumours, most of which turned out to be true. Although that wasn’t too surprising as some of them were spoiled by the companies themselves.
When it was first announced it seemed to be a pretty blatant Skyrim clone, but that was before Microsoft bought Bethesda. It’s not clear if and to what degree it was redesigned after that fact, but it was subsequently revealed that Avowed is set in the same universe as Obsidian’s Pillars Of Eternity, from 2015.
