A leak from back in March indicated that the Xbox Series X console will be getting a digital-only edition some time in the middle of the year. It has finally happened, as Microsoft has unveiled the new variant of this console generation. Officially, it is dubbed the Xbox Series X 1TB All-Digital Edition.
As the name suggests, this is a version of the console without the optical drive. It also comes in white, as the aforementioned leak had indicated. Besides that, there's not much else to say about digital-only version of the Xbox Series X. Microsoft may or may not announce an optional disc drive the way the redesigned PS5 does, but nothing points to that being the direction the company will go down for now.
Pre-orders, market availability, and regional pricing will be announced at a later date. One can hope that Malaysia will finally be included in the list, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it. After all, it took half a year for just the controllers to be shipped.
