the new action-adventure game from South Korean developer Shift Up. The main character is too sexy, her outfits too revealing, the “jiggle physics” too jiggly. Who cares? I fail to see what’s wrong with sexy and revealing, as long as the character in question is cool and fun to play. Eve is absolutely that.
In any case, the game is scratching a very specific itch I didn’t even really realize I had. It takes some of the things that makeIt’s an intoxicating mix. Combat is a blast. The soundtrack is fantastic. Boss fights are tough and epic. Everything feels very slick, from your various special attacks to movement.
Little things like auto-lock onto enemies just work so well that it makes the gameplay really fluid. The camera isn’t wonky. There’s plenty of enemy variety. Exploration keeps things interesting, with lots of chests to unlock and secrets to find, including plenty of outfits for Eve. The various skill-trees you unlock lead to plenty of options in how you approach each combat situation.is just how much fun it is right off the bat. I find myself often kind of bored with a lot of video games.
