SEN. Risa Hontiveros has expressed alarm over the possible link of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) to the hacking of several government websites.

SEN. Risa Hontiveros has expressed alarm over the possible link of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators to the hacking of several government websites.The senator said that widescale scam operations were uncovered during an operation at Baofu compound, a POGO facility in Bamban, Tarlac, on April 24.'I was very disturbed to hear that there is persuasive information from the intelligence community stating that this Bamban complex is being used for surveillance activities,' Hontiveros said.

Guo said she was not involved in POGO activities in her town but admitted that she was a former incorporator of Baofu.'I did not own any of the villas inside the compound. In fact, I didn't see the completion of the construction of the villas after I divested my shares at Baofu,' Guo said in Filipino.'This was issued before I became mayor of Bamban, and I no longer had any participation after that,' she added.
