A gaming keyboard with a lot to offer considering its small stature.

A snappy and responsive compact keyboard, the ROG Falchion RX Low Profile comes with lovely lubed switches to make gaming and typing a joy.Our experienced team dedicates many hours to every review, to really get to the heart of what matters most to you.The ROG Falchion RX Low Profile is an absolute joy to type on and one of the best compact keyboards I've used in a long time. I say that as someone who's not usually a big fan of little keyboards—the Falchion RX might make me a convert.

The Falchion RX makes me think twice about my convictions. The combination of its compact size and low-profile switches make it dreamy to type on, with the lower profile keys allowing me to rest my hands into a more relaxed position while typing. Everything you need is within that compact collection of keys, too. F1–F12 and Print Screen are just a press of the Function key away and marked out neatly on side of each slim keycap.

The linear switch within the sound dampened body of Falchion RX makes for a very quiet mechanical keyboard. One of the quieter I've used in recent years. That's potentially a big benefit if you're looking for a keyboard for a streaming setup. With noise cancellation it's possible to almost entirely eradicate the sound of the Falchion RX altogether, and it's honestly not that bad without. Though I can't attest to the volume of the alternative RX Blue clicky switch.

Asus has built-in touch-responsive media controls to the rear left-hand side of the Falchion RX, to avoid adding any unnecessary size to the board itself. I didn't like this approach at first—the touch controls felt clunky and unresponsive at times—but I've come around to it. It's a decent interface for volume controls on the fly without adding any extra bulk to the keyboard itself.

The Asus ROG NUC is launching soon, and it ain't cheapChris' gaming experiences go back to the mid-nineties when he conned his parents into buying an 'educational PC' that was conveniently overpowered to play Doom and Tie Fighter. He developed a love of extreme overclocking that destroyed his savings despite the cheaper hardware on offer via his job at a PC store.
