THQ Nordic has announced it’s bringing back classic Wii platformer Epic Mickey in an enhanced remake entitled Disney Epic Mickey Rebrushed. The game was revealed as part of the latest Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, and will see the 2010 original given a 14 year lick of paint – which is rather apt, considering the story. However, it’s since been confirmed that the game will also launch on Xbox, PlayStation and PC too.
It’s up to Mickey and the player to head into these worlds, and use the magical paintbrush and paint, along with their platforming skills to clean up Mickey’s mess and fix the world – though a malevolent, somewhat inky force is trying to stop him. The remake is being handled by Purple Lamp – the game development studio responsible for the recent SpongeBob Squarepants games including Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated and The Cosmic Shake.
