Crytek has announced that Hunt: Showdown is getting a native Xbox Series X|S version when it ends support for the multiplayer game on Xbox One next year.

for the closing months of 2023 and beyond, Crytek revealed that it's ending support for the Xbox One version of the game and that a current-gen version, which will be free to all current owners, is on the way.

David Fifield, general manager of the Hunt franchise, explained that Hunt: Showdown is getting an engine upgrade in early 2024, and as a result, Crytek will be releasing a native Xbox Series X|S version of the game. However, Fifield also confirmed that Crytek is ending support for the Xbox One version of Hunt: Showdown and that on previous-gen consoles, the game"will no longer be available for play" from April 2024 at the earliest.

Fifield says a free upgrade path will be provided for players to migrate from the Xbox One version to the Series X|S version and that"player history, inventories, and DLC purchases" will also be carried over.. It's possible that Crytek could discontinue the current list in favor of a new stack, or it could just keep the list and not change anything. Either way, you may want to crack on with the completion now to be on the safe side.
