Phil Spencer claims the future of Nintendo is ‘off of their own hardware’ as it’s revealed Microsoft is buying up shares in the company.

The revelations are coming thick and fast, with the latest being that Microsoft was talking about buying Nintendo as recently as 2020 – the same year they bought Bethesda. While discussing a potential purchase of, Xbox boss Phil Spencer was asked by Microsoft’s chief commercial officer why he wasn’t trying to buy someone like Nintendo, and he answered by saying he’d love to do exactly that.
