. Having games at 30FPS is certainly not the slight on players that some would have you believe. There are numerous reasons as to why the above games could not achieve this feat on launch and in some cases running above 30FPS was the least of some games’ problems. However, when a game actively notes that it will have a 60FPS mode at launch it’s certainly a nice addition.
While it’s great to hear that 60FPS will be available on Xbox and PlayStation consoles it’s rather surprising to see the Xbox Series S get a mention in this tweet. The comments would suggest that the Xbox Series S version of the game is set to receive at 60FPS mode too. A more recent entry into the souls-like genre, Remnant 2 recently launched without 60FPS on Xbox Series S alongside many other new games that opt to forgo 60FPS altogether on the cheaper console.
Xbox Game Studios chief, Matt Booty previously responded to concerns from some developers who noted having to develop a game that not only runs on the Xbox Series X but also the lower-performing Xbox Series S can sometimes hold a project back. Speaking to, Botty said, “Is it more work? Sure.” Continuing, Booty noted that the teams he’s working with have been getting much better performance out of the Xbox Series S, especially when focusing on their second game of the generation.
