Just Cause: Mobile has been cancelled before it made its worldwide debut JustCause SqaureEnix JustCauseMobile

After four years of development and a brief period of early access in South East Asian regions, Just Cause: Mobile has officially been cancelled by Square Enix before it even made its full debut worldwide. This announcement comes after the game was first announced at The Game Awards in 2020 and underwent a number of delays seeing it scheduled to launch in 2023 before this announcement.

. As of tomorrow, 3 July 2023, the game will no longer appear on digital stores. It is never easy to put forth an announcement of this nature, especially to our fans who have been awaiting the release. We sincerely appreciate the support you have given us.” While a number of fans were disappointed by the news, even more, didn’t even know the game still existed. A Build Engineer at Sharkmob, Eddie Stubbington reacted to the announcement by saying, “Honestly, I’m not surprised. Bringing something like Just Cause to mobile and keeping high quality and most of its features was always a big ask.”

This news isn’t entirely surprising for fans of the series as Regional Early Access concluded on February 22, 2023. While this may not have been a huge sign the game was shutting down for good., the additional announcement that any Blue Diamond purchases made in-game would be refunded almost guaranteed the game’s inevitable demise.

With Just Cause: Mobile now discontinued many fans will be left wondering what is to come of the action-packed series in the future. However, there was no confirmation of any future projects so we’ll just have to wait and see. In other gaming news,
