Primary school students are using the video game Minecraft to build healthier communities — with the best ideas to be pitched to local government leaders.

Monash University Associate Professor Deana Leahy said this makes Minecraft an "ideal space" for students to act as community health researchers and planners, and build a healthier virtual world. The 'Future Healthy World' in Minecraft allows students to come up with solutions to health challenges.
