Users can still upload video clips to Twitter directly from the console. While Microsoft has yet to confirm exactly why it disabled the functionality, it does come in the wake of sweeping changes to Twitter’s API which appear to be designed to make larger corporations on the platform pay significant amounts of money for access to the API.
The changes could see companies charged as much as $42,000 per month in order to access Twitter’s new enterprise package on it’s developer platform, according to “Higher tiers give researchers or businesses access to larger volumes of tweets—100 million and 200 million tweets respectively—and cost $125,000 and $210,000 a month. ”In the absence of on-console functionality for the feature, Xbox’s official account recommended players use the Xbox mobile app to share their screenshots until the issue is resolved.go to the Xbox mobile appNotice:
