Deputies in Florida released surveillance video of a student attacking a high school teacher's aide after she allegedly took away his Nintendo Switch during class.
After being arrested on Feb. 21, court records show that he was released from Department of Juvenile Justice custody on Feb. 22, when he was released to East Coast Habilitation Options in Palm Coast, Florida, which describes itself as a"a group home agency for behaviorally challenged children and young adults."
Deputies say that a female teacher's aide allegedly took the Nintendo Switch away from him during class, which made him upset.Surveillance video released by police shows the 6-foot-6-inch, 270-pound student rushing up to the teacher's aide and pushing her to the ground, who is then seen continuing to punch and kick her.
The Flagler County Sheriff's Office said that the incident happened at Matanzas High School in Palm Coast, Florida, and identified a 17-year-old who was taken into custody and charged with felony aggravated assault with bodily harm.
