Harding-Rolls said on Friday that if Bloomberg’s report is correct, it would appear to back up his belief that a next-gen console won’t arrive this year, but said he was doubtful Switch sales would actually grow.
“No doubt that Switch OLED will be in strong demand at new Zelda launch and a good % of buyers will be those upgrading from OG Switch or Lite,” he. “Even so, the idea that Switch will increase sales next FY is optimistic If true, pretty much confirms our view of no next-gen in 2023”. If true that production will increase, the analyst said a price drop and new bundles, such as one expected for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, could be the reason behind the production boost.
How do ppl play these old garbage ass games? Lmao. nintendo has nothing to do with modern gaming
I sincerely hope they release a real refresh. The original Switch is showing its' age. Needs updated cpu and more RAM.
' Despite misinfo ' Fixed !
Good they really dont need another console just buff up what they got
Why are people so obsessed with a new-gen Switch? I mean, we knew since the beginning that the console would stick around (pls, it is Nintendo we are talking about) and that it targets a certain segment of players. This has nothing to do with Steam Deck or the console market.
The switch will outsell the PS2
Kinda glad as I just bought a switch oled last September,
Come out with a new console
They really need to bring a 'pro' console to market or something with better hardware so many games could be so much better
But sadly there's still no switch upgrade like a switch pro, a docked only switch or maybe just another simple upgrade for the regular switch. Wouldn't hurt to see something like refresh for the nintendo switch.
Too late for me... Switch is great and I have owned mine since launch, but I just snagged a Deck as my 'Pro' model to fill in the gaps at this point.

This is partially fans' fault. If people would stop buying them, they'd have no choice but to have to focus all their efforts on making a next gen console, but why hotter if they're still selling like hotcakes?
Good, keep it around. This is not xbox or sony there don't need to be a new one every 5 years.
Nintendo is the best
And here I am struggling to catch up to my backlog this year on Switch lol so many games, too little time.
Switch until 2025 folks
Why are people still buying these though? they should be putting pressure on them to do better since they have 0 competition.
I was really hoping for an upgrade for BotW2. It's poetic, launch the OG with botw, then launch an upgrade with the sequel. The switches hardware is really dated by todays standards. I'd never play a graphically intense multiplat game on it.
This or next Xmas they will bring out a new console, and it won't be a Switch, if I was a betting man I would go for winter 2024, as the Switch OLED is doing well.
Once people slow down significantly on buying the switch, Nintendo would have no choice but to release new hardware, but until then people have to cope with this underpowered tablet.
YUCK
I hate the Switch but I don't blame them, people still buy it non-stop
Well when you have a very supportive fanbase that will defend your decisions and keep buying, you can keep abusing them for as long as possible.
Didn't Nvidia stop production of the Tegra SoC inside the Switch last year ?
Nooooooo! I lost my launch Switch lately and I don't want to buy one, u until the new hardware comes out!
