Joseph Staten reportedly leaving Halo Infinite developer but staying with Xbox

head of creative Joseph Staten is leaving 343 Industries and will be returning to Xbox Game Studios Publishing.Bloomberg's Jason Schreier has reported onthat Joseph Staten will soon leave 343 Industries to return to Xbox Game Studios Publishing. Due to previously working on the earlier Halo games, Staten joined 343 in 2020 as Halo Infinite's project lead for the game's campaign before becoming head of creative, but will now be returning to Xbox Publishing.

, including Halo Infinite's 343 Industries, Gears of War's The Coalition, and Starfield's Bethesda Game Studios. The Halo developer looks to have been hit the hardest, though, with some reports claiming over 60 employees have been laid off. However, 343 Industries studio head Pierre Hintze has apparently said that Halo Infinite's multiplayer and live service elements will continue to be supported.
