Koei Tecmo has released a developer commentary video for Project Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, the upcoming remake of the game that originally released solely on the Wii.
"I used old Western-style houses in Japan as [a] reference, and also mainly my relative's onsen ryokan. The mysterious experiences that I had there were the main inspirations for [the] game world," Fukaya says."I came up with the playstyle of reaching out your hand from my own actual experience; Once, I was sleeping, and a ghost grabbed my hand. I told it that it hurt, and it let go.
