', which just smashed records with its latest instalment, is following the trend of Sony's other major IP and getting a live-action adaptation on Amazon Prime Video.
While Kratos has been knocking around since his PS2 debut in 2005's 'God of War', this adaptation will focus on the more recent reboot/sequel to the series, also titled 'God of War', and the recently released 'God of War Ragnarok' which follows the self-exiled Greek god as he tries to settle into non-god life in the Norse realm of Midgard. Obviously, hijinks ensue .

Many of the team involved in the game will be involved in the show, while 'Iron Man' and 'Children of Men' writers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby will be writing and executive producing. The expectations on the show will be high considering the franchise's blockbuster success, huge fanbase and recent Game Awards wins, but all eyes will be on how Amazon handles its adaptation of 'Fallout', and how fans react to 'The Last of Us' in January.
