. That's actually a rather power efficient chip for a gaming processor so quick, at least compared to Intel's high-end, but it's not the most efficient that AMD makes. When combined, these components spit out hella heat. Even at idle, my CPU is running at around 51°C average Tctl temperature and my GPU around 54°C . When gaming it's the 300W graphics card that I fear for most, however, reaching upwards of 89°C.
The unfortunate outcome of all this is that I'm not touching my gaming PC for its primary purpose of gaming while it's so hot out. I feel my powerful PC has flown too close to the sun, and like a silicon Icarus it's come crashing back down to Earth in a scorching fireball. Or something like that; it's too hot to think up an accurate parable for this situation.
Perhaps my best option is to forget all this work business and take a trip to my local Gregg's bakery; ergo, the most air-conditioned building in my entire area. That feels to me like a suitable excuse to leave work early, at least. Or I could strap a liquid cooling loop to my head if needs must.Temperature data showing rapid warming in the past few decades, the latest data going up to 2021.
We've got it running cuz we stream... The office is basically a kiln at this stage...
Oh god ye, and water cooled is so much worse, my room turnes into an oven
I bought a portable AC, but it's 65 decibels of whirring and whining. Noise-canceling headphones are a must.
Have you at least considered trying without the light?
Wait till that 4000 series releases. Space heaters 👍
When I first built my PC, I limited my 3900x speed to 3.9ghz and undervolted, limited the power consumption, and increased the fan curves of my 6700xt all to reduce power consumption and heat. It dropped my CPU temps 12° F and my GPU by 20° F and I only lost about 6 fps in game.
Mine's in the basement, works pretty good IMO.
In the UK? Check a moment Spain's temperature. My room can be a sauna at mid-day
my house has AC but I bought an additional ac unit for my office and now am ice cold 🥶
Then get an AC...
Ipad pro + xbox controller + geforce now.
Temperature does matter in gaming.
It’s never too hot to relax with a game.
alalothgame You just need to install a water cooling system and you're set...🤣
Sitting in my lounge wishing it was cool enough to head upstairs and play on my PC. 😩 Even with a fan pointed at it and the side door open, my GPU almost caught fire.
Steam deck is class though 👌
We’ve been telling you for a long time that you’re not cool, Britain.
Errr no it’s not you melts!
Things I've done in the past to lower my computer : - Change hardwareperf profile (cpu scheduling, max frequency, cpu isolation) - Limit videogame framerate - Removed graphic card and play retro games with igpu - Underclock the cpu
Meh 35c is a daily normal temperature in south east asia .
You got to be kidding! Try to play o a PC on Rio de Janeiro’s summer, under 45ºC
This is why I bought a Steam Deck
Could be worse. You could be in Texas.
had to buy an ac unit, because I work from home it would be impossible with my 11 fan rig and 4 monitors to do anything otherwise
*Laughs in Centralized AC*
I don’t turn on my Pc during these conditions.
The actual reason I got Aircon for my gaming room last year.
I have not-so-fond memories of raiding in my room at 95f in the middle of a Florida summer so my condolences to my euro friends
I love it when the PC increases my room temperature by 7C...
106 here in Texas today. I'll still be playing later tonight thank to the AC! 🥶
Just turn all your RGB lights to blue and it’ll drop your temps
