Why become a Helldiver when you can be a Planet Diver instead? Nostra Games’ Planet Divers , eerily similar to Arrowhead Game Studios’ own shoot ’em up, is launching soon, and it’s set to compete with Helldivers 2 in a battle the likes of which the Galactic War has never seen. But the similarities between the two games don’t stop with their respective titles. According to its PlayStation Store page, Nostra Games will release Planet Divers on July 10, 2024, for PlayStation platforms only.
Though it doesn’t quite show a complete image of the gun-toting protagonist, the soldier’s helmet and bronze-tinted visor are weirdly reminiscent of Halo’s main character, Master Chief. So, with its Helldivers 2-like premise and Halo-like characters, Planet Divers may end up being an exciting combination of a few different interplanetary shooters. Of course, Planet Divers’ gameplay, setting, and characters could end up being completely different and unique at launch.
