Lenovo LOQ 15 review: budget gaming laptop delivers the goods but not the battery life

This budget gaming laptop is useful for productivity and creative apps as well as shooting aliens, and while its weight, poor battery life and relatively unexciting screen mean you’ll be wanting to use it on a desk with an external screen , that doesn’t mean it’s not a capable performer when it plays to its strengths.Lenovo’s laptop lineup is a busy one, with the various lines bleeding into one another.

There are no ports on the left-hand side of the machine, with the various connectors spread across the right and rear of the laptop instead. This makes it important to place the LOQ properly when using it at a desk, as you’ll want your headset cable and USB devices you want to remove on the right - there's only one USB-C port too, again on the right, and it’s a plain old USB 3.
