has revealed its newest gaming laptop to the world, and unlike most other gaming laptops the Predator Helios Neo 14 is a smaller, more compact machine. Likely rivalling the likes of the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14, the Predator Helios Neo 14 still packs plenty of performance despite its more dimunitive footprint.
The Predator Helios Neo 14 is Acer’s most compact offering yet under the Predator marque, with a 14.5-inch, 16:10 IPS display that covers the full sRGB colour gamut, up to 400nits peak brightness and support for NVIDIA Advanced Optimus. Depending on the configuration of the laptop, you’ll find the panel pushing either a 1920 x 1200p, 2560 x 1600p or a 3072 x 1920p resolution, with the first two also coming with 120Hz refresh rates while the latter supports up to a 165Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the Predator Helios Neo 14 is powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, with Core Ultra 7 155H and Core Ultra 5 125H options also available. That gets paired with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. Again depending on the configuration, you’ll find either an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, GeForce RTX 4060 or a GeForce RTX 4050 for graphics. All of that is kept cool by a dual fan cooling system with liquid metal grease on the CPU.
Other features of note include a full function USB-C Thunderbolt 4 port, a microSD card reader, Intel Killer WiFi 6E wireless connectivity, a Windows Copilot key, a triple-microphone setup, the pre-installed PredatorSense app for system personalisation and tweaking, an up to 1080p webcam as well as a 76Whr battery.
